I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from Adiel at Total Wine. I truly do not understand how someone with such a poor attitude can be hired to work with customers. He was rude, disrespectful, and behaved in a very demeaning way. His tone and manner made me feel uncomfortable and humiliated. What should have been a simple shopping experience turned into something very upsetting — I left the store in tears because of how I was treated. Customer service should be about respect and professionalism, and unfortunately, this was completely lacking. I hope management takes this seriously and provides proper training so no other customer has to go through an experience like. I will never coma back

200 bucks worth of booze and 6 hours of drinking will give you alcohol poisoning. Please drink responsibly, not like we did last weekend.

The store is massive and they seem to have every type of alcoholic beverage known to man, both local and international. The main drawback is their staff. They are all friendly (except for one or two over the top manager level individuals) but they have seemingly 5 employees for every 0.25 customers and it feels very suffocating. Every time I have shopped there I can't but feel uncomfortable by the number of staff on hand who seem to be there for reasons other than to help customers find what they need. It's very intimidating honestly and I believe the store hires and schedules this many people around their store hours clock for the only purpose of stopping shoplifting. I'm sure they would argue my belief but it is a serious serious deterent and has been the main reason I shop elsewhere so I may do so in peace and comfort.

Checked out Total Wine & More (Northgate branch) on a Saturday evening. They have 10 locations in the Washington area. The place is massive with a huge selection of wines, spirits, beer, cider, vermouth and non-alcoholic drinks. They also sell cigars if that’s your thing. Large covered parking lot, in-store sampling from Thursday to Saturday. Not much sour beer options but an interesting selection of craft cider. We ended up buying a few cans/bottles from One Tree Hard Cider ($4.99 USD to $8.99 USD), ACE Cider ($2.79 USD) and Newtopia ($4.99 USD).

I just got home from my first-ever Total Wine pickup at this location, and it was by far the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had with this company. I’ve been shopping at Total Wine for over 9 years and have never encountered anything like this. The pickup interaction lasted less than five minutes, yet it left me so upset that I cried in my car afterward. I don’t know the employee’s name, but she should not be working in customer-facing role. From the start, she yelled at me for being in the “wrong” pickup spot and complained that it made her job harder. She was extremely rude to both me and my husband, despite us being polite and doing nothing to warrant that treatment. When placing the items in my trunk, she didn’t even bother to close it—and then rushed away so quickly it felt intentional and dismissive. When I asked to confirm what was in the pickup box (we ordered 2 bottles of wine, a 6-pack of beer, and a small bottle of amaretto), she said, “Here’s your 4 bottles.” I calmly clarified that it should be 3 bottles and a 6-pack. She responded by glaring at me intensely, rolling her eyes, ripping the box open, and saying, “You can look for yourself” Her tone and body language were aggressive and hostile. It’s hard to fully capture the interaction because so much of it was her attitude, but the disrespect was shocking. No customer deserves to be treated this way, especially during a simple pickup order. This experience was completely unacceptable and deeply disappointing for a brand I’ve trusted for years. Is this really the standard of service this location is okay with?
