I’ve been a loyal customer of Total Wine for years, purchasing cigars at their Santa Fe location. Now, as I’ve moved to Albuquerque, I visited this store and picked up a few cigars. Unfortunately, one of them was defective—it wouldn’t stay lit—and was for a celebration for a friend’s promotion. I called the general manager, Allen, to explain, but he stated that there’s no refund policy—even for a faulty product. I won’t be buying premium cigars here again. I strongly recommend going to a local shop that truly values their customers and will stand by their products.

Generally, I'm a big fan of Total. Where I find groans is the rewards program. 90 days to use rewards isn't acceptable. I also do not enjoy the mail only coupons that can't be accessed through the app. They also frown on you taking a photo of the coupon so you aren't lugging around the physical coupon. Lastly, it seems to take forever to earn a $5 reward and then you only have 90 days to use it and the cashiers won't offer you to use it if you have it, leading to missed use. Overall, like I said, they are great and offer a ton. I just want some tweaks to rewards.

I would like to have given this place 5 stars, but to have security watching me because I had 8 bottles. He came to the front door and watched me until I paid my $322.79 at the cash register and then he left. That put a bitter taste in my mouth. The young fellow at the register was polite as he could be....... Shame!

I would like to report a cashier that attended me yesterday 05/1/2026 at about 6:30 pm. She was extremely rude and yelled at me for touching “her check out lane divider.” I was just placing it behind my items for the person behind me and she yelled “ dont be touching my stick!” And grabbed it and slammed it to the side. I didnt say anything but asked for her name after paying and she said sarcastically that her name was karen. I dont know if that was her name or not but she was one of the closest cashiers to the doors. She was an old lady with short hair and glasses. I really hope something is done about this because no one should be treated like this.

I had my first disappointing experience with this company at the uptown location. I had a quick question about some of the alcohol and spoke to a possibly mid to late 30's employee with a large beard. He was very condescending and rude. He seemed bothered that I was having to ask questions. It's just a let down for a store I have spent a lot of money in and considered one of my favorite places to shop for alcohol.
