Was passing through indianapolis and the bourbon group highly recommended stopping in, was not disappointed at all! Lovely staff, amazing store picks to choose from and plenty of samples to try! I ended up leaving with a 1792 storepick and a beautiful 12 year rye storepick. Couldn't be happier with my experience.

Vince!!! What an amazing experience and a must go to for anyone that is on their bourbon/whisky journey. Vince spent a bunch of time with me discussing all their store picks and you could tell how much he loved bourbon/whisky. This is an absolute must stop. I’d drive hours just to go to this place. One of the few places that you can try before you buy. I have never seen as many store picks under one roof as Rural Inn has. Thank you to the entire friendly staff, for making it the best buying experience I’ve ever had.

It’s a liquor store. Nothing special. I stopped by because I thought they had a bar attached but they said it’s only open for special whiskey events.

I’ve been a fan of Rural Inn for years and have always appreciated the selection, especially when it comes to bourbon. Unfortunately, my recent experience left me very disappointed. I called simply to ask about the availability of a specific bourbon. I was answered by Ariana, who was shockingly rude and unprofessional for such a well-known bourbon destination. She immediately said she “can’t discuss bourbon,” which was odd because I wasn’t asking for recommendations—only if they had it in stock. After putting me on hold, she came back to say it was “in the system but not sure if we have it,” which still didn’t answer my question. When I clarified that I wanted to purchase it, she abruptly told me she “didn’t have time for that” because she had another customer. It’s incredibly frustrating to see such poor customer service at a place I’ve enjoyed for years—especially when I know the owner is a great and respectful man. A single employee’s attitude can really damage a business’s reputation, and this experience was a perfect example.
