If you’re staying at the Drury Hotel, here’s a tip: walk out from the elevator, take a right, and you’ll spot Del Mar Wine & Cigar. From the outside, it looks like a small convenience store, which I initially almost missed, but gladfully I spotted it, Don’t let the small convenient store appearance fool you. Inside, it’s cozy, welcoming, and packed with options—from wines and beers to frozen margaritas and a walk-in humidor full of premium cigars. Now, full disclosure: I don’t smoke or drink alcohol. But that didn’t stop me from appreciating this place. I popped in to grab a few water bottles while exploring the River Walk, and it was honestly such a relief to have a convenient, well-stocked spot nearby. I may have been the sober one among margarita sippers and cigar aficionados, but I felt just as included—hydration is important, after all! The staff seems to be a mix of characters. Some reviewers rave about Mike and other friendly, helpful team members, while others have noted occasional hiccups with service or payment processing. Either way, the charm of the location and the variety of offerings make it worth stopping by. All in all, Del Mar Wine & Cigar is a quirky little hidden gem. Whether you’re here for cigars, a frozen margarita, or just a cold bottle of water like me, it’s a convenient, fun, and surprisingly charming spot on the River Walk. I left refreshed, entertained, and secretly proud of my non-alcoholic adventure!

As a first timer visiting the San Antonio River Walk, I was excited to enjoy the vibe, food, music, and drinks with my family. While walking, we passed Del Mar Wine & Cigar and I convinced everyone we should stop for margaritas, a decision I later regretted. My wife, brother, brother-in-law, and I each ordered one. After walking out and taking our first sip, we all immediately looked at each other and asked the same thing, “Is there any alcohol in this?” To give them the benefit of the doubt, we kept drinking, thinking maybe we just needed a few more sips. That never happened. We all finished our drinks and were convinced we had just paid $12+ each for what tasted like straight mixer. If there was any tequila in those margaritas, and that is a big if, it could not have been more than a splash. The fact that we even left a generous tip makes it even more frustrating. What should have been a fun Riverwalk memory turned into a disappointing and overpriced experience. Avoid this place if you are looking for an actual margarita.

If you’re looking for a cigar to grab quickly this is the place. While my husband grabbed a cigar I grabbed a quick drink to go. The guy working had the best customer service that I’ve experience.

What a rude man. Bought an 8$ beer and asked for a cup. "We don't give cups away but here". Slams cup down on counter. Cmon man. A little friendliness goes a long way. No tip for you bro. Well here's one - SMILE 😃.

Purchased over $100 worth of cigar’s while we stayed on the river walk. Had two transactions in two days. The same cashier was there on both days. He never lifted his head from his phone and didn’t acknowledge us at all. The first transaction the amount changed from what he told me before I swiped my card. I didn’t think anything of it and said whatever, didn’t ask for a receipt and went on since it was only a couple dollars difference. The next transaction the next day, again he didn’t even lift his head and this time I requested a receipt as the price he quoted changed again. Again by a couple of dollars. He is charging every single customer a manual “Non Cash adjustment” of $1.50-$2.00 on every charge (which I’m sure goes towards his pocket as it’s over the bottom line after taxes. This is a double charge as it AUTOMATICALLY CHARGES A 3% FEE FOR USING A CC. (which is fine as they disclose this part before hand) I caught him manually typing in the extra “Non-Cash Adjustment” and he just goes “Sorry I can’t give refunds, just call tomorrow in the morning for the owner”. I just now called, the phone rings and rings and was never answered and never goes to voicemail. If you can get your cigars anywhere else near the Riverwalk, do that instead. This goofball Martin is adding his own tips and then has the audacity to ask for a tip afterwards. Mr Rolland (Owner) if you would like to call me and make things right I would appreciate it.
