West end discount liquor Is close to where we are staying, with their huge selection of vine,liquor,beer,mixed cocktails and very friendly staff this is a great stop before any party. Thank you for providing great customer service!!!

Racism is bad. Been going to this store before it switched ownership. Long story short-watched the management, while holding a baseball bat, confront a black man. Manager was screaming about how he couldn't see what he was doing on the store's cameras which somehow warrants threatening them with a bat? Black man wasn't doing anything wrong, looking at whiskeys (i was standing next to him....), but was threatened for no reason. I shall not be returning.

Mid-size store that’s very conveniently located. West End Ave is a busy road, but this store is conveniently located near a traffic light. They had a decent selection of basic liquors and mixers, along with wine and beer.

I've lived in Nashville and worked near the city for almost 10 years. This spot used to be a go-to for so many of us who work in hospitality or health care in the area. However...The new management is absolutely awful. From marking up bottles, to closing early, arguing with customers and generally being seriously unpleasant to interact with... This guy and his new team really need to do better. If you're visiting Nashville, I'd encourage anyone to check out Frugal MacDougal on the other side of downtown or drive to check out any of the better spots on the west or east sides of town. Frugal MacDougal, Red's, Bravo, Cork Dorks- ANY of them can beat the prices here and give you a better experience. This place used to be good. What a disappointment to see it run into the ground by senseless arrogance and bad management. RIP- West End Liquor. You had a good run. EDIT: To clarify the response here for anyone reading.. I arrived to the store at 10:45 with the closing time posted at 11pm. This has since been changed since last night. The manager/clerk cursed as another gentleman and myself entered the store. As far as the doors locking for safely- I understand. What I can't support is negative attitude towards the late night customers that you claim to cater to and support. The old management handled the safely locking with 100% more class. The pricing is it's own issue and if you want to stand by it..good luck. More than anything else, people locally don't feel welcome here anymore. There are plenty of 1 star reviews to support mine. But, you're right-Many of us will be planning earlier, indeed. Planning to take our business to a better spot. With all that confidence you've got, I sure hope nobody opens a new spot in West End or Midtown open until 11pm...
