Avoid this shop if you value your money and freedom to shop elsewhere. They PRICE GOUGE to a degree that is beyond reason in this market. Go to Costco liquor (membership not required to shop for wine, beer or spirits) or any gas station for that matter...all far cheaper and not operated in such a manner as to take advantage of location and unwitting customers.

I poke in from time to time, and im not sure how, but theres this old woman with some pretty bad crows feet and a permanent scowl on her face, I think shes the owners wife or something(?), but shes ALWAYS angry about something and brings the whole atmosphere down. I was chatting up one of the staff members one time and I watched his whole face just drop. Like, why ever have her around if shes always bringing her employees moods down? The only time I ever see an employee smiling is when shes not around. Pure Boomer antics I guess. The shop looks amazing though, love the style, like, its super obvious the owner cheaped out on decor but he made it work so well you almost cant even tell. Its also surprising how clean it actually is once you get inside, you wouldnt expect it, but whoever does the tidying up is doing a wonderful job. Their selection of liquors is just okay at best, for awhile they've been out of a couple things I like, but i'm just assuming thats because of tariffs making things too expensive for a smaller shop to get a good solid hold onto, but they have plenty of more inexpensive options, im sure its perfect for the average Minnesotan palette. I'm looking forward to adjusting this review this coming spring when everyones a lot happier, maybe that angry old lady will soften up or something and people will go back to spending money so small town shops like these can go back to having good product again.

My personal favorite liquor and beer store in Minneapolis. Friendly family owned vibes, great selection and good prices! Whats not to like ! Right in the city good location!

Absolutely appalled by the attitude of the older male who is apparently the manager/owner. I am hard of hearing and I couldn’t understand what he said and he became annoyed by this by his tone, body language, you name it. A very strange reaction to someone who clearly was having a hard time hearing. After reading some reviews, this seems to be a trend here.

Ugh, So I came here during my lunch break because it was close to work and I wanted to get a nice peaty/smokey scotch for after a long day when I got off... An older gentleman asked if I needed help and I informed him I was looking for the scotch aisle, he politely told me around this corner and a fellow associate (forget his name) could help me. I let said associate know what I was looking for in flavor and notes of the scotch and I had a particular I was hoping they had Smoke Season by Benriach, they didn't have it but I was shown another scotch a little more expensive he recommended. I decided to give it a go and buy the recommendation of said associate. 84 dollars later while walking out I hear the older gentleman ask the man who helped me "how did that go?" In a very snide condescending way....I get it, I'm a white blue collar tattooed man buying scotch who had a particular taste in mind. I was in no way rude,or impolite or otherwise and even took the recommendation of the associate. I couldn't imagine treating a customer like this in any business. The tone in that older guys voice...ugh. Though the recommendation was a nice one and I'm enjoying a glass at the moment, I think I'll wait till day after payday to go somewhere else to buy as I don't appreciate snide condescending remarks about me behind my back or otherwise.For the love of God, wait till im out the door. The younger gentleman who helped me deserves a raise just for being stuck on shift with that kind of toxic human being. 3 stars for the associate that helped me with a good peaty scotch recommendation.
