I placed an order with what I thought was Mac's Wine and Liquor. I was told that processing and shipment would happen after payment was sent. Once the payment was sent I didn't hear anything until two days later. The email that I got, was requesting I pay (what started out as) $100 in sales tax on a $420 purchase (nearly 25%). The tax quickly grew to $150. I was told there was there was an "alcohol excise taxes, premium product levies, and shipping-related tax adjustments (especially on the type I alcohol I ordered)". After a few back and forth emails, I asked for a refund, and was told that I couldn't get a refund or substitute any of the products (to avoid the outstanding tax), and that paying the tax was pretty much the only option. So now I'm out $420. Mary English is who I was speaking with.

They have an ATM and sell lottery tickets. Small store but clean and friendly staff.
