This review is long overdo. I been to a lot of liquor stores all over Oakland and I can say with complete confidence that this one is top 5, possibly even the very best one…they got just about all the stuff you could want, from rye to cognac to rum and even a pretty great mezcal collection. While I do wish they had more wine and local sake, they do have reasonable offerings in those departments. They also got every type of liqueur I’ve ever needed for making cocktails. Their prices are about on-par with other liquor stores in the area but I feel like the best deals are still at TJ’s. Parking is easy either on the street or across the street at GOBM. The interior is nice enough, nothin fancy. You got a straight shot right back to the liquor without having to squeeze through tight corners. The dudes who work there seem like good dudes. If you ever need hard liquor then these guys are gonna have probably the best selection you can find other than maybe BevMo… I can’t recommend paying them a visit highly enough.

From the outside it used to look like it would sell just bud light and crack under the counter, in fact they have a great selection of all types of booze, so automatic 5 star, then recently they got rid of the 50 cent posters and put up some boring signs promoting their wares, great place though, friendly service

Surprisingly great selection for bourbon, liqueur, and other alcoholic beverages even though it's a smaller shop. The staff is also amazingly courteous and helpful.

Nice selection. Lots of craft beer to choose from and an array of liquor. Gives an air of bottle shop selection with liquor store vibes. A nice place to find quality drinks. They have smokes and some snacks. Nice place to stop for an interesting selection.

Family-owned and friendly, and with a surprisingly great selection of both beers and liquors. The usual standards plus a wide pick of nicer and/or craft items. They also have a sufficient selection of wine for most casual purposes and customers. I come here regularly as my go-to spot for beer!
