April 29, 2026 I've lived in Long Beach since 2008 and never ventured in this establishment until I did. I wanted my go-to beer (Stella Artois) and the store was out of it. I asked the person behind the counter if there was something comparable and he pointed out a Pilsner. Stella is a lager but I like Pilsner too. He described the beer as light and from a black brew master in Inglewood. Yes, I said Inglewood. I purchased two cans to try. The gentleman behind the counter is the owner (JB) and he was so helpful and friendly, I would support his business in the future. There is no parking lot, only street parking. i actually returned the next day to buy a 4-pack! If it's early enough in the afternoon, you might meet Dave, you is the unofficial store greeter who sits outside the store.

LOVE this place. This Store carries a wide range of small brands and locally sourced products from lemonade to alcohol. Al was really helpful and even gave me a tour showcasing his knowledge of all the different brands. They mostly stock celebrity and hard to find liquors. They also accept phone and online orders. Even better is the owners curate events for customers to learn and enjoy the different items. Thoroughly enjoyed my first trip here. Didn't think I'd get excited by going to the liquor store, buy here I am. Cheers!

Al is the man, he treats you like family and knows his liquor. He has the best stock of black owned alcohol in the area and gets some stuff first. Instore signings and food trucks on the regular. Parking is tight but it's long beach.

Good to see Ambassador Liquor Store reopened under new ownership. 🍻 I was the 10th customer and I appreciated the good customer service. I will be returning.

Just another lazy small business. Friendly doesn’t make up for consistently empty shelves, and the very inaccurate posting of their “hours”. They open when they’d like to and close just the same. You’d do better to take a couple more steps to Walnut and patron that liquor mart. Shelves always full, and they’re open during their posted hours. I’ll always give a black business a try but continuing support my people just because of that is not enough. You’ll learn that at some point and upgrade your business.
